February, 2014 – The Dyno Glide eBike project is moving forward.

Design Goal: Retro-mod high performance mid-drive electric bicycle with a Cafe Racer look
Bicycle: Old school Dyno Glide cruiser & Felt Bixby cruiser
Motor: Trans Magnetics 532 brushless PMDC motor.
Primary Drive: 8mm timing belt
Final Drive: BMX single speed chain
Wheels: 24″ rims with CST Cyclops 24×2.4″ tires
Batteries: 50v – 15Ah and 72v – 20Ah for the race bike
Controller: 40A for the street and 80A for the race bike

A friend is machining the motor and bearing plates to mount my TransMag 532 motor. I have to make the clamps, to mount the motor/bearing plates to the frame, in the next week or so and then I will be able to mount the motor onto the frame and start on the final design for the ‘body work’ and seat.

Also, I will be setting up the final drive but again after the motor assembly is mounted in the frame.
